An Open Letter to Sue Serino

Thank you Sue Serino for entering the state senate primary race in order to ultimately run against Terry Gipson. You don't know me. We have never met, never spoken, but I greatly admire you. It is my belief that most politicians enter politics not because they wish to help their community or state, but for self-aggrandizement. If they manage to actually do something positive, well that's great, but how many really do?

You, on the other hand, have shown that you not only wish to improve the lives of those around you, but you have the battle scars to prove it. I don't know of too many people who could have emerged from the toxic sludge that was the recent Hyde Park Town Board with their reputation not only intact, but heightened.

Quite a feat.

I am sure Terry Gipson is a good guy, but the only check and balance we have to a 100% Democrat-controlled state government is the state senate, so it is vitally important that Republicans not only win a senate majority, but that more people with integrity fill those senate seats. A primary win by you will go a long way towards achieving that. Then, with the help of independent voters, we can send you to Albany so that you might actually be able to help fix New York.

So, thanks again.
