This week The Business Council became the latest pro-jobs group to endorse Dutchess County Legislator and 41st state Senate District candidate Sue Serino (R,C,I- Hyde Park). As part of their endorsement, The Business Council cited Serino’s commitment to reducing the tax burden, creating good paying jobs, and her small business background as reason for their support.
“I’m tremendously proud to have the endorsement of The Business Council, one of the leading pro-jobs groups in the state. Their efforts to promote our local small businesses and entrepreneurs, as well as their support for Hudson Valley taxpayers, are tremendous,” said Serino. “As a small-business owner, I know firsthand how New York’s red tape and regulations are suffocating businesses of all sizes and forcing people from our communities. I’ve seen this in my own business and we’ve seen it on a grander scale with businesses like IBM and others. As Senator I’ll vote against legislation which is going to have a negative impact on our region and our economy. I believe the support of The Business Council, along with NFIB and Unshackle Upstate, show I am the only candidate in this race who knows what it takes to create new jobs and opportunity, and provide our children and grandchildren a bright future right here in the Hudson Valley. I want to help the hardworking men and women of the Hudson Valley get back on their feet and succeed just as I’ve done right here in our community.”
Serino has already received the endorsement of the National Federation of Independent Businesses and Unshackle Upstate, two pro-taxpayer and pro-business groups working to build jobs in the Hudson Valley.
