HYDE PARK, NY—Senator Sue Serino today released the following statement in response to the maps released by the court-appointed Special Master:

"As I travel across the Hudson Valley, I am hearing from residents who are fed up with rising costs, rising crime, and government overreach. Never has it been more important to have strong, independent leaders fighting for the residents we serve. The Supermajority's disregard for the will of the voters throughout this broken redistricting process has only strengthened my resolve to continue to do all that I can to bring balance back to Albany to ensure that their voices are heard, which is why I am committed to running in the newly drawn 41st State Senate District.

Too many New Yorkers are struggling to afford basic necessities and feeling totally left behind by out-of-touch politicians. Residents do not need another rubber stamp for failed Albany policies. They deserve representatives who listen, who care and who are never afraid to stand up for what's right. I am committed to being that voice for our community, and together, along with our neighbors in Ulster and Columbia counties, we will move our community forward and get our state back on track."
