This week, the state’s leading union, CSEA Local 1000, announced its endorsement of Dutchess County Legislator and 41st state Senate District candidate Sue Serino (R,C,I-Hyde Park). The Civil Service Employees Association (CSEA), which is made up of over 300,000 workers across the state, said the decision is based on Serino’s proven record of honesty as a public leader and support for taxpayers.
“On behalf of the over 300,000 active and retired public and private sector employees across New York State who make up the CSEA, we’re pleased to endorse Sue Serino for state Senate, and confident she will stand with the working people to make New York a better state. Governments at every level are struggling to provide services and rebuild our infrastructure. We need elected officials who will fight to maintain good jobs that benefit our communities; I am confident this is what Sue will do,” said CSEA President Danny Donohue.
“Sue Serino has the professional background and local government experience to be a true asset to middle-class New Yorkers in Albany. We’re excited to endorse Sue, and look forward to working alongside her,” said CSEA Southern Region President Billy Riccaldo.
“I want to thank CSEA President Danny Donahue and the over 300,000 members of CSEA who have placed their trust in me; it is an honor to receive their endorsement. The members of CSEA provide tremendous services to our state and community while upholding the organization’s standards of integrity, hard work and accountability. I share these values and have worked hard to protect Hudson Valley taxpayers and working class families. As Senator, I will continue this mantra and proudly stand with CSEA members in support of our community,” said Serino.
