HYDE PARK, NY – Senator Sue Serino today announced that she has received the endorsement of the New York State Union of Police Associations, Inc. (NYSUPA) as she runs for re-election to the New York State Senate. Serino is running in the new 41st State Senate District, which now includes parts of Dutchess and Ulster counties, as well as the entirety of Columbia and Greene counties.

An endorsement letter from NYSUPA President Anthony Solfaro reads in part, “NYSUPA’s endorsement is a result of your overall support for the law enforcement community, and your recognition of those officers as dedicated and hard-working public employees who go out each and every day to serve the public at-large at great personal risk and sacrifice.”

In accepting the endorsement, Senator Sue Serino said, “With public safety on the ballot this year, it is an honor to have the endorsement and support of NYSUPA. Their members make tremendous sacrifices to serve and protect our communities, and I am committed to ensuring they have a strong, independent voice they can count on to fight for them in the Capitol.”

NYSUPA is a statewide labor organization representing police officers, deputy sheriffs and other law enforcement throughout New York State.
