HYDE PARK, NY – Senator Sue Serino announced today that she has been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) NY PAC in her bid for re-election. Serino is running in the newly drawn 41st Senate District, which includes all of Greene and Columbia counties and parts of Ulster and Dutchess counties.

“New York’s small, independent businesses continue to face unrelenting challenges,” says Ashley Ranslow, NFIB’s New York State Director. “From rampant inflation, higher fuel and energy costs, and costly state Unemployment Insurance taxes, small businesses are struggling. New York’s economy has not bounced back to pre-pandemic levels and Main Street surely needs strong advocates in Albany with a proven track record. Sue Serino has been a dedicated and reliable leader on the issues that matter most to small businesses across the Hudson Valley. She doesn’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. NFIB’s New York PAC is proud to support Sue Serino in New York’s 41st Senate District.”

In accepting the endorsement, Senator Sue Serino said, “Our small businesses are the backbone of our community, and I am incredibly honored to have the support of an organization that advocates so strongly on their behalf. I know from experience how hard it can be to open and operate a small business here in New York State, which is why I have been committed to supporting policies that will enable them to thrive. I will always be a strong, independent voice for our local job creators and will do all that I can to ensure they have a seat at the table as we push for policies that actually make New York ‘open for business.’”

Founded in 1943, NFIB advocates on behalf of small and independent business owners across the United States. The organization is a non-profit and non-partisan. Senator Serino recently received a perfect score on NFIB’s Legislative Scorecard.
