County Legislator and 41st State Senate District Candidate Sue Serino (R,C,I-Hyde Park) recently secured the Republican, Conservative and Independence Party lines for this year’s election. Following a successful petition period which saw volunteers collect almost 4,000 signatures across the district, Serino has now secured all three parties’ lines on the ballot on November 4.

“Since entering the race I’ve continuously felt a groundswell of support from people - regardless of party affiliations,” said Serino.  “Residents everywhere have shared their frustration with our region's high taxes, struggling business climate and high cost of living. It is great to see residents are reacting positively to my proven track record of standing up for what’s right and fighting for values of all Hudson Valley residents. I have worked my way up from a waitress to a successful small-business owner. I want to use my experiences to give back to the community that supported me by putting the same hard work and determination into the state Senate.

“Working in the real estate business, I have witnessed too many seniors lose their ability to stay in their homes and too many families leave our state for opportunities elsewhere. It has shown me how high taxes and unnecessary regulations strangle our small businesses and entrepreneurs. I want to ensure that the Hudson Valley remains a place for our families for generations to come.”

Dutchess County Republican Chairman Michael McCormack said, “Sue Serino is the candidate with the experience we need to help rebuild and strengthen the middle-class and our communities. As a county legislator she understands what it takes to create a balance between government and the private sector that ensures a healthy, vibrant and thriving Main Street for our local communities.”

Putnam County Republican Chairman James DiBella said, “As a successful small-business owner, Sue will bring a wealth of knowledge to state government. She knows what it takes to build a business and how we can eliminate red-tape and regulations which are crippling our local economies. As a mother, she’s devoted to ensuring our communities have the economic opportunities that will keep the next generation here for years to come.”

Dutchess County Conservative Party Chairman Hal Brilliant said, “As a Hyde Park Town Councilwoman and Dutchess County Legislator, Sue Serino has stepped up to the plate when needed to serve our community, and she will do the same for us in Albany helping the guide the state Senate through some of our state’s biggest challenges- from economic development, the need for tax reductions and continued efforts to reduce the size of government. Sue will also be a strong voice for the Hudson Valley values that keep our families strong. I look forward to fighting alongside her in the weeks and months to come.”

Dutchess County Independence Chairman Dennis Zack said, “Sue Serino is an independent thinker with a proven track record of standing up for the interests of Hudson Valley residents. As a small-business owner she knows first-hand how government regulations negatively impact our local economy and businesses. She has taken on the tough issues regardless of political affiliation and we can trust her to continue to do what’s right for our community.”
